The 9800 is a Japanese classic. Mitsubishi has been making it since 1946. Hexagonal incense cedar barrel finished in deep green lacquer with a gold foil stamp. Matured micro-graphite core that's dense, smooth, and holds a point through a lot of writing.
The 2B grade is the softest in the line: dark, buttery, slightly smudge-prone. Good for sketching, gestural drawing, bold writing, anyone who likes a darker line. If you want all-purpose, get the HB (we carry the recycled version).
