Wet-erase crayons made by Rikagaku in Kawasaki, Japan, from non-toxic rice bran wax. They draw smoothly in vivid, opaque color on paper, glass, mirrors, and whiteboards, and wipe clean off non-porous surfaces with a damp cloth. Add water with a brush and they behave like watercolor. The paper roll wraps keep little hands clean and unwrap as the crayon wears down.
Each set's packaging is illustrated by an artist from ecru, a local social welfare organization in Japan, with a portion of proceeds going back to the artist.
Face is the soft, pastel-leaning palette: warm, gentle, easy to layer.
